Online/telephone Counselling

It has been a common experience for many people seeking urgent help in times of crisis to find that it is impossible to get an appointment quickly enough. The online/telephone service I provide is an answer to this problem. Contacting me via email or telephone will result in an early response and arrangement for a scheduled phone call, or a detailed email response.

Telephone counselling sessions

These work very well for people who find it difficult to access counselling, or prefer not to be in a face to face situation. You can book a telephone session by e-mail and pay for the session as detailed on the Fees page of this website. I will then call you on the land line number. You will have paid for my time and I pay for the call. You do not have to give your name, if you  prefer to preserve your anonymity.

Online counselling via e-mail

Online Counselling via email is particularly suitable if you have hearing problems. It also allows you access to help on issues of concern from the comfort of your own home, at a time that suits.  I have a number of resources in terms of links to other relevant websites and focused information leaflets etc that can also be of help in many situations.

Your initial email should briefly outline your problem.  My reply to it confirming that I can help you is free. You should then pay in advance by paypal or other means as outlined on the counselling fees page. You should then outline the issues in an email of no more than two sides of A4.  I will normally respond within 48 hours unless you mark it urgent in which case I will get back to you as soon as I possibly can. I will only charge for my main email which will be a detailed response and will attach any helpful literature or links to other help to this email. This will be referred to as CR (counsellor response) with a number that indicates the number of the email, my first response being CR1. You will only be charged  for CR e-mails not for normal correspondence.

It is not always possible to know at the beginning, if working online is the most appropriate way for you to get help. If I consider that face to face counselling would be a better way to help you I will suggest that either we hold face to face sessions or, if this is not possible help you to find a counsellor near to you.  The decision is yours.
